# Customer Care Short Numbers Your Mobile Phone

Your Mobile Phone

Page Intro

Before you use your mobile phone for the first time, the phone's battery must charge for at least 16 hours. This will ensure optimum battery life. Just plug in your charger and leave the phone to charge overnight - then your mobile will be ready to go.

It's easy. Press and hold down the power key.

You will always need to enter an area code, such as 079, when dialing from your mobile phone, even if you are just down the road.

Press SEND to connect the call and END to finish the call. Refer to your mobile manual or call 333 for specific instructions for your mobile phone model.

When your mobile rings, just press the SEND button. The same button is used to make and answer calls.

Once you have inserted your SIM card, you will be connected to the Roshan Network. Your SIM can store up to 100 names and numbers. Your mobile phone may also have its own memory for additional number storage.

It is useful to store all your numbers in the 'international format' (e.g. +93 79123456). This way, when you travel overseas, you can call friends and family in Afghanistan straight from your built-in directory. See your mobile manual for more information.

Don't forget to include the numbers of friends and family living overseas as well so that you can conveniently make international calls or send text messages overseas from your mobile phone.

You can lock the keypad of your mobile phone so that you don't accidentally make a call if the buttons are bumped. Refer to your mobile manual for instructions on how to do this, as procedures vary from one mobile set to another.
