November 27th, Kabul, Afghanistan – Roshan, Afghanistan’s leading telecommunications provider, announced winners of its “Kabul Jan” offer, a contest which Roshan customers based in Kabul province could participate in by subscribing to any of five voice and data bundles in the offer. The winners received prizes which included motorcycles, air conditioners, TV sets, the latest brand of smartphones, sound systems, refrigerators, and generators.
“The “Kabul Jan” offer is more than a contest. It’s part of Roshan giving back to our customers,” said Shireen Rahmani, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Roshan. “And no name describes this contest better than “Kabul Jan,” a common phrase used by all Afghans to express their love for the nation’s capital.”
Roshan launched “Kabul Jan” on July 11th and it ran through October 15th. Recently, Roshan staff with a representative from Afghanistan Telecom Regulatory Authority (ATRA), oversaw the random draw of 13 winners from a database of more than 400,000 participants.
In addition to “Kabul Jan”, Roshan has also launched a unique new nationwide offer called “Roshan Millionaire” in which customers can win 50,000 Afghanis weekly prizes and 1000,000 Afghanis in the grand finale, which will be announced in February of 2017.
