Roshan’s Second Lucky Draw Winner Drives Home a Brand New Car

(November 15, 2018) – Kabul, Afghanistan: Roshan, Afghanistan’s leading telecommunications service provider, celebrated in July its 15th year of operations in Afghanistan.  As part of a year of celebrations, Roshan launched the biggest lucky draw campaign to appreciate the loyalty of its customers. And today, Roshan announced the winner of the second grand prize, a new Toyota Corolla. 

 

The lucky winner is Mr. Toryalai Sherzai from Kabul. He was a winner among approximately half a million eligible Roshan customers who participated in the draw.

 

“I have been a long time and loyal customer of Roshan. My family and I always dreamed of owning a car but we could not afford it. When I got the call from Roshan’s customer service helpline that I am the winner of the grand prize, I was surprised and happy. Thank you Roshan for making my dream come true,” said Mr. Shirzai.

 

“This year is a big year for Roshan and celebrating 15 years in Afghanistan. We wanted to mark this occasion by giving back to our customers and to thank all of you for your loyalty to Roshan,” said Shireen Rahmani, Roshan’s General Manager. “We have seen an incredible growth in 15 years in the industry and in the country.  We are excited about the next 15 years and we have plans to further invest on our network to provide even better services to all Afghans.”

 

Over the past 15 years, Roshan has invested more than USD $700 million and has led the way in bringing innovative technologies which have transformed how communities access healthcare, education and connect across Afghanistan. And  as part of its 15th anniversary celebrations through lucky draw, Roshan has given a number of prizes over the last four months. These include smart phones, free minutes and internet, tickets to the Asia Cricket Cup and trips to perform the Haj piligrimage.
